Here we are, 2 weeks out from the pitchers + catchers reporting to camp…and we are seeing some nice price strengthening. With the release of 2018 Topps this past week, we expected to see slight dip in volume (20%) but we saw average sales price go up 10%! 30 different prospects saw their average base auto increase in price the last 2 weeks, pretty impressive. We are a few weeks away from starting to see significant performance impact. You can expect to see plenty of drastic movements as we enter late Feb…which makes the next couple weeks crucial from an “investment” standpoint.

Quick Thoughts:
- Adell SSP the supply and demand will keep this a very hot item. If he performs well, watch out! (same as last report)
- 30 prospects increased their value the past 2 weeks!
- 22 Prospects OVER $10 avg Continues to impress with the depth of this product – up 1 from last report.
- Volume is key Kepe in mind, most of the high upside prospects won’t have a lot on the market…folks will be hoarding until time is right.

Criteria
We run reports on all prospects’ Bowman Draft BASE AUTO sales for a given period. We exclude any variation, auto, insert, graded, or memorabilia prices to make sure you are getting a good representation of the actual base auto pricing. We use Base Auto prices as a baseline because they are considered by many to be the de facto standard for “base” prospect cards for MLB players. We also do our best to remove the countless MISLABELED listings for players, but there is always a chance a random auction can slightly skew the #’s. We’ll keep a close eye.
We will run a separate MLB RC price tracker after Topps Series 1 is released.
